About Katie

I began photographing professionally while I was studying in college. I shot weddings for many seasons in a row with engagements and maternity and families in between.  The best compliment I ever received was "You made us feel comfortable. You made it fun."

I paused the photography for 5 years.

My Story

I went back to school while working full time and running the photography business to become an elementary school teacher.  I gave up photography because a professor once told me... you cannot walk in two different and diverging paths.  I loved that time... but after five years I felt a pull back to this: the creative and wonderful side of capturing authenticity in the people I meet.

I am here now again, throwing away all other distractions, to hone my craft.
